Yuk what a terrible day for trading

National Pothole Day - how appropriate

Well, here's the plus.  We ended the day $415 up.   That's it.  It was a tough day.  In the trading road of life this was literally potholes everywhere.  Hence the tile of the trading blog.

Opening trade was a long.  Went against me so I had to add a second contract (it was a planned trade) and then I got out of the trade for a scratch.   The really irritating thig though is that as I sit here writing this blog I just checked my charts and had I not closed my second trade to take me to $415 for the US session I would have had another $1000 profit on the YM.

So irritating, but as my mother always says "at least you have your health".  I often want to tell her that yes i do, but it still irritating.  But at 81 years old there doesn't seem a lot of point.  She isn't a high probability trader.  Nor even a trader.  But I am sure I could teach her.  She can read a chart, she can see colours and so I am 100% sure she could learn to trade and become a profitable trader.

Maybe that should be my goal for the year?  My current one is to get to 200 winning days consecutively, and so far we're not doing badly.  43 consecutive winning trading days so far.

We wont be adding to the tally on Monday - its MLK day so the markets are half day.  That means we give it a miss.  Take a day off and relax.  We've doing super well so far in 2021 and we aim to keep it that way, taking less risk and only high probability trades.
