A nervous day, but the expected result comes with patience

The NQ takes its time. Panic? No. Sweat, yes. But high probability  wins through.

Well I'm not going to lie here.  It was a boring trade in the trading room.  We took a few $$ on the YM but completely missed the opening drive up on the NQ (see below marked in yellow).  In fact we not only missed it but we took a short too early.

That wasn't a problem as the trade was a structured trade - that means we kept some extra firepower to add to the trade if it went against us, which it did.  It had a 2% probability of doing so but it still sucks when it does.  Basically the market wet up.  And just stopped for close to 100 minutes.

After 90 minutes we'd taken off one contract from the trade but then in the blue zone (marked) we has a perfect opportunity to add two more contracts back in.  Remember if you don't have the capital for full contracts - use micros.  They work just as well for practice.  It is always wearing knowing we had a chance  this is going to happen.  And also knowing it usually takes 80-120 minutes fo the trade to come good.  It takes every ounce of mental strength to avoid going long.  But that way lies madness - and believe me, many people were. chopped to death in todays market.  It was brutal.

But
when you trade probabilities .... you just tough it out.  And eventually the stats kicked in and we made our money for the day.  Was it fun?  100% not.  Was it profitable?  Yes $1552 on the day (we stopped after the shots kicked in.

This is the sort of trade you have to see happen a few times.  The smarter trade would have been to have waited until we broke below the orange line and traded then, but we went early and paid the emotional price of that.

The plus side of the day?  We showed yet again that trading with high probability works.  Learn to trade high probability, and the profits come in 8 days out of 10.  For us this makes 25 straight winning days.

Todays video is quite boring TBH.   The market moves up and they stays there so we look at the YM and ES for trades but not a lot happens there.  But I've posted it for completeness.  Nothing is hidden here at Inteligex. when we have an off day (and despite the profits it was) - we don't hide it.
